Sinbad suffered an ischemic stroke two years ago and is still learning how to walk again. His family said in an update that he’s fighting for every inch.
Family quote, “His progress is nothing short of remarkable.  Limbs that were said to be ‘dead’ are coming alive. In his own words, ‘I am not done.  I will not stop fighting until I can walk across the stage again.’  And neither will we.”
Survival odds for the type of stroke Sinbad had are 30%. He’s made significant progress, but still has lots of therapy to go. His family has been dealing with the financial burden as well.
They set up a website with information about his journey, and there’s also an option for fans who wish to contribute. The proceeds will help cover his care. You can check it out at TheJourneyForward.Life.
I meet and interviewed Sinbad back in 2017 in Denver. I was not only honored but blown away by how genuine and personal he got with us. He told us about his struggles at the beginning of his career and some amazing stories of his journey. He invited us backstage after his show and we spent hours with him talking about life, comedy, basketball (his favorite sport), and of course his amazing family.
Please keep this amazing man in your prayers and if you can, please donate anything you can to his care at TheJourneyForward.Life.
